Job Description

As part of this role, you'll work a consistent 35-hour week, developing individualized learning plans and adapting curriculum to meet a diverse range of educational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland Special Education Teaching License
  • Proven experience in schools or similar educational settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum appropriately
  • Passion for fostering growth and empowerment in students with varying abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to each students IEP
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
  • Collect and analyze data to track student progress and inform instruction
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with state guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with families, administrators, and fellow professionals
  • Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement
