Job Description
We are seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers for K-12 positions in Waltham, MA, focusing on middle and high school age groups. These contract roles are for leave coverage, offering a professional teaching environment where you can make a meaningful impact on students educational success.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored special education instruction aligned with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support teams to address student needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license (MA SPED)
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred
- Ability to create supportive, inclusive classroom environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to student growth and collaborative teamwork
Work Schedule:
- 37.5 hours per week
- 5 days per week
