Job Description
An immediate opening is available for two full-time Special Education Teachers to provide leave coverage at an elementary school in Cambridge, MA. These contract positions run from January through April and require a valid Moderate or higher Special Education teaching license for Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with moderate to intensive learning needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and challenges.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to meet educational goals.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a current Moderate or higher Special Education teaching license for Massachusetts.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with moderate to intensive special education needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles and needs.
