Job Description

An educational opportunity is available for licensed Special Education Teachers to work a full-time, contract position in a K-12 school setting located in Methuen, MA. This role offers a chance to support a diverse student population through various specialized programs, ranging from inclusive high school classrooms to resource rooms for lower school and sub separate autism programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities across K-12 grade levels
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to provide tailored instructional strategies
  • Managing classroom environments to foster inclusive and supportive learning experiences
  • Maintaining accurate records and progress reports for each student on your caseload
  • Engaging with parents and guardians to ensure consistent communication regarding student progress and needs

Qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) teaching license is required
  • Experience working with a range of age groups from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Ability to manage varying caseload sizes in different program settings (inclusion, autism sub separate, resource room) is highly valued
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to support individualized instruction and collaboration

Position Details:

  • Location: Methuen, MA
  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Job Type: Contract role for the current school year
  • Number of Openings: 7 positions, including high school inclusion teacher, autism program teacher, and resource room teacher roles
