Job Description
Make an impactful difference in students lives as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity spans from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and involves supporting special programs across all age levels. With three positions available, youll work on-site with a dedicated team, helping students with intensive needs reach their goals in a collaborative and caring environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4 license required)
- Experience working with diverse learners in special education settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, general education staff, and families to support student development
- Deliver direct instruction and interventions across a range of ages and grade levels
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Participate actively in team meetings, professional development sessions, and multidisciplinary planning
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal requirements related to special education
