As a Special Education Teacher, youll play a key role in shaping the educational experience for kindergarten and first-grade students with autism, working closely with a committed team of professionals. This full-time position requires dedication and compassion, as well as the skills to tailor lessons to the unique abilities of each child.

What Youll Need:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification (appropriate for grades K-1)
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for students with special needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, peers, and school staff
• Skills in adapting curriculum and creating individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent organizational abilities and flexibility in responding to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, differentiated instruction to students with autism in grades K-1
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with district and state standards
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with therapists, administrators, and general education teachers to ensure student success
• Track and report student progress through regular assessments and data collection
• Partner with families to support each child's academic, social, and emotional growth
