This opportunity seeks dedicated special education professionals to support a K-12 school in Wilmington, VT, for the current school year on a contract basis. Candidates will contribute to an inclusive educational environment, serving diverse student needs in middle and elementary school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for students with disabilities, tailored to individual IEP goals.
- Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and related service providers to enhance student success.
- Manage caseloads effectively, including documentation and progress monitoring.
- Participate in remote interviews and onboarding processes as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Vermont Special Education license preferred; provisional licensing options may be available.
- Experience teaching special education students, particularly in middle or elementary grades.
- Ability to serve either as a Middle School Special Education teacher or Hybrid Case Manager with an elementary caseload.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to engage in district-specific training and onboarding requirements.
Position Details:
- Location: Wilmington, Vermont
- Work hours: 37.5 per week
- Duration: Immediate start through the end of the current school year
- Caseload management within one school
