Job Description

A full-time Special Education Elementary Teacher opportunity is available in Hyde Park, MA, designed for educators with a passion for supporting young learners in an elementary day school setting. This contract position runs for the current school year (CSY), serving small groups of 4th and 5th graders with a focus on math instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized math instruction to small groups of elementary students with special education needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students learning goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and communication with families regarding student development and classroom activities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid special education teaching certification is required
  • Strong background and experience in math instruction within a special education setting
  • Ability to effectively work with elementary-aged students, specifically 4th and 5th graders
  • Skilled in small group instruction, differentiation, and behavior management strategies
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Details:

  • Location: Hyde Park, MA
  • Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 2:15 PM
  • Contract duration: Current school year (CSY)
  • Age group served: Elementary school students with special education needs
