Job Description

A dynamic and dedicated professional opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in an engaging elementary school environment located in Boston, MA. The role is set to commence ASAP and continue through June 15, 2025, with a full-time schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education License in Massachusetts (K-8th Certification specifically)
  • Valid Teaching License in Massachusetts
  • Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to implement effective instructional strategies tailored to diverse learners

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure a supportive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student development
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP compliance
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
