- Valid Special Education (SPED) Certification in Kansas
- Experience in either resource or specialized (self-contained) settings appreciated
- Ability to engage and support students across a range of abilities and learning needs
- Flexible, collaborative approach to working with fellow educators and support staff
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, compassionate classroom environment
- Strong communication skills for connecting with students, families, and colleagues
- Dedicated to upholding Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and state standards
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a 37.5 hour work week onsite at one school location
- Collaborating with a supportive team to provide individualized instruction
- Creating and implementing lesson plans tailored to students unique learning profiles
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on student progress
- Communicating effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adhering to all school and district policies and timelines
- Contributing to a positive school culture and inclusive learning environment
