Job Description

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to serve K-4 elementary students in a full-time contract position located in Benton, IL. The assignment runs from ASAP through the end of the school year. The role is based within a single K-12 school setting with a focus on supporting students with special education needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instructional programming for K-4 students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with paraeducators and support staff to implement effective interventions
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families and school personnel to promote student success

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-4) in a special education capacity
  • Ability to utilize Zoom for remote interview and collaboration purposes
  • Readiness for a full-time schedule and contract commitment through the school years end

Additional Details:

  • Supervision is provided by paraeducators or related support staff as assigned
