This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with special needs in an educational setting within Beaufort, SC. The position involves working onsite at schools serving a diverse student population, including early childhood and severe and profound special education programs.

Locations:

• Early Childhood Special Education at Okatie Elementary in Bluffton, SC
• Severe and Profound Program at May River High School in Bluffton, SC

Schedule and Contract Details:

• Full-time hours: 37.5 per week
• Contract position requiring commitment to onsite responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in ongoing assessments
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with early childhood or severe and profound needs populations preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and school staff
