A Special Education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school located in Bastrop, TX, serving students with diverse learning needs. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through May 23, 2026, with an approximate weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an elementary-level caseload of 30-40 students within inclusion and resource settings
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive learning environment
- Use data-driven assessment to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and compliance activities
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education certification required
- Experience with elementary special education, preferably in inclusion and resource settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with paraeducators, RBTs, or other support personnel as provided by the district
Location: This role is based at a local elementary school in Bastrop, Texas, offering a supportive educational community.
