Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available near Dartmouth, MA, including the areas of Attleboro, Mattapoisett, and Acushnet. This contract role is for the upcoming school year (NSY) and focuses primarily on working with preschool students. The position requires hands-on experience in evaluating and conducting Determination IEP meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for preschool-aged children with special needs
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess student progress and develop appropriate instructional strategies
  • Facilitate Determination IEP meetings, collaborating with families, educators, and support staff to identify educational goals and accommodations
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed to meet diverse learning requirements
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with preschool-aged special education students
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and lead Determination IEP meetings effectively
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with families and multidisciplinary teams
