Job Description

Join a K-12 educational environment as a full-time Special Education Teacher focused on resource classroom instruction. This contract position supports students in a dedicated setting from the start date ASAP through May 22, 2026, with a 40-hour work week. The role is based in Arvada, CO, within a high school setting.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21).
  • Licenses such as Traveler, Substitute, Temporary, or Interim are not accepted unless the professional SPED license with the appropriate endorsement is already applied for, with proof.
  • License must read: Professional Teacher License #000000 endorsed in Special Education Generalist (5-21).
  • This position is not open for Virtual or Hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to students with diverse learning needs in the resource classroom environment.
  • Utilize knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction to create effective teaching strategies aligned with students unique IEP goals.
  • Collaborate closely with IEP teams, providing detailed insight into students progress and needs.
  • Apply best practices in instructional delivery, assessments, and adaptations to meet alternative standards where necessary.
  • Prepare for interviews by articulating experience with teaching methodologies, IEP processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
