Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement a co-teaching model, supporting all students during class instruction.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting lesson plans and instructional materials as needed.
• Facilitate small group work sessions, providing tailored support and enhancing students learning experiences.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings to foster a collaborative teaching environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a middle school setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Flexibility and openness to utilizing various teaching models, including co-teaching.
