An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students during the 2025/2026 school year. This contract position requires a dedicated educator skilled in delivering special education services in both self-contained and resource settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to enhance student learning.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and administration.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) certification.
• Experience working in self-contained classrooms as well as resource environments.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and instructional strategies.
• Ability to manage a classroom and support diverse student needs.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Location:

• Position based in Antioch, Illinois within a K-12 school setting.

This role is contracted for the full 2025/2026 school year, providing a stable teaching assignment with a focus on meaningful student outcomes.
