Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Teaching Certification (please ensure your certificate and current resume are attached with your application)
  • Previous experience teaching elementary students with developmental and cognitive delays is strongly preferred
  • In-depth understanding of best practices in special education and familiarity with IEP development/implementation
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Compassion, patience, and creativity in delivering differentiated instruction

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans for elementary-aged students with DCD
  • Maintain and update IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve student goals
  • Foster a safe, inclusive classroom that promotes student engagement and growth
  • Communicate regularly with families and other professionals to support student progress
  • Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional adjustments
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives as needed
