Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Experience working with students with mild to severe disabilities
  • Background in managing and addressing behavioral needs; comfort adapting to varying behaviors
  • Emotional Disabilities experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Employ a variety of instructional methods to address unique student strengths and challenges
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom culture while managing a range of behavioral needs
  • Collaborate regularly with parents, support staff, and fellow educators
  • Monitor, track, and report student progress toward learning objectives
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
