Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active New Mexico Special Education teaching license required
  • Experience with elementary, middle, or high school populations
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and accommodations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and fellow educators
  • Adaptability to serve on diverse teams and work collaboratively in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and differentiate lesson plans for exceptional learners
  • Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Engage students using varied instructional strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Track student growth and document progress appropriately
  • Coordinate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents
