Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification
- Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Committed to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Flexibility to work in various settings, including resource, self-contained, inclusion, and 1:1 support
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to special education students in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success
- Track and report student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Foster an environment that encourages student growth, independence, and confidence
- Engage in ongoing professional development and actively seek mentorship from the Clinical Advisory Team
