Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid state certification or license required for school social workers
• Experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or youth-focused settings
• Deep understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges faced by students
• Strong communication and advocacy skills when working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify barriers to student learning and well-being
• Deliver direct intervention services, including counseling, behavior support, and crisis response
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized support plans
• Provide guidance and referrals to connect students and families with community resources
• Facilitate workshops or small groups focused on conflict resolution, coping skills, and social-emotional learning
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
