Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated on-site School Social Worker in the Wayland, MI area to join our team in supporting students social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students dealing with diverse challenges such as academic struggles, behavioral issues, family dynamics, and mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to meet students needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies, ensuring students safety and well-being.
  • Connect students and families with external resources, community agencies, and support services as required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with professional standards and legal requirements.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise on social and emotional aspects of students education plans.

Position Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and engage with families from various backgrounds.
  • Experience in crisis intervention, counseling, and working within a school or educational setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
