A full-time Social Worker position is available for the upcoming school year in an elementary school setting, located in Waukegan, IL, with possible assignments in nearby areas including Zion and Wadsworth. This is a contract role focused on providing essential support to students and families within the school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of elementary students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized support plans.
• Provide counseling services and crisis intervention as needed.
• Connect families with community resources and support services.
• Maintain detailed case records and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Valid Social Worker licensure or certification.
• Experience working in school settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of community resources and social service programs.
