Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current state licensure or certification required for school-based social work
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including educators and families
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or academic challenges
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address student needs
• Serve as a liaison among school staff, families, and community agencies to facilitate support services
• Participate in the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies
• Lead social-emotional learning initiatives and prevention programs within the school community
• Support crisis response efforts and offer resources to students and their families
• Maintain accurate records and comply with federal, state, and district regulations related to social work practice
