Job Description
This role is for a School Social Worker position based onsite at an elementary school in Twin Lake, MI. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 5th, with typical hours from 8:15 AM to 3:55 PM.
In this role, you will provide support to a caseload of approximately 40 students. Your responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic evaluations, writing detailed reports, and actively participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings alongside parents and school teams. You will be expected to monitor and report on student progress regularly, develop data collection systems for functional assessments and positive behavior interventions, and analyze this data to track outcomes effectively. Additionally, you will contribute to school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) through participation and delivery of professional development sessions.
Qualifications for this position require a Masters Degree from an MDE-approved graduate social work program, including at least a 500-hour supervised practicum. You must hold temporary, continuing temporary, or full approval from the Michigan Department of Education Office of Special Education.
