This onsite, contract assignment offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours each week and allows you to work closely with a diverse caseload across grade levels, helping students overcome challenges and reach their academic and social potential.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker (SSW) license required
- Previous professional experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, parents, and community resources
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students in grades K-12
- Assess and address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies and support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and parents to create effective solutions
- Advocate for students well-being and serve as a liaison with outside agencies when needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to support educational goals and student success
