Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Valid Social Work license for schools in Illinois (Type 73, PEL: School Social Worker endorsement, or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a school-based social worker strongly preferred
• Understanding of K-12 academic settings and special education processes
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and crisis-intervention skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
• Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and prevention
• Contribute to IEP meetings and document services provided
