Job Description

A contracted Social Worker position is available to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Pontiac, MI, for the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on delivering comprehensive social work services aimed at promoting student well-being, addressing social and emotional challenges, and collaborating with educational staff to foster a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services.
  • Facilitate group sessions that address social skills, coping strategies, and other relevant topics.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and legal standards.
  • Connect students and families with community resources and support services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Social Worker licensure or certification.
  • Experience working in school settings, preferably within K-12 environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
