Job Description

This opportunity is for a full-time School Social Worker to serve K-12 students across multiple locations in the area. The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, supporting their social, emotional, and behavioral needs to enhance their academic success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and barriers to learning
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and support services as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to comprehensive student support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with legal, ethical, and district policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker License
  • Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
  • Bilingual abilities are an asset but not required
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload effectively and sensitively
  • Strong communication, assessment, and counseling skills

Location and Schedule:

  • Onsite position located in the Plainfield, IL area
  • Full-time contract for the upcoming school year
