Job Description
A full-time School Social Worker position is available to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting located in Okemos, MI. This contract role begins immediately and continues through June 5th, 2026. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of approximately 48 students, providing essential social work services to help enhance the academic success and well-being of the student population.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychosocial assessments and developing individualized support plans
- Collaborating with educators, families, and community resources to address student needs
- Providing counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Advocating for student welfare and facilitating access to mental health and social services
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough documentation on cases
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Licensed School Social Worker with relevant credentials in Michigan
- Proven experience working in K-12 educational environments
- Ability to manage multiple cases with professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of community resources and support services for children and families
