Job Description
This full-time, on-site social work position in a K-12 school district in Niles, MI offers an opportunity to provide essential support to students through a W-2 contract for the current school year.
Responsibilities include delivering direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students both individually and in small groups. You will conduct assessments to identify factors impacting learning, develop and implement behavior intervention plans with staff and families, and support students with IEPs through aligned social work services. Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaboration with school personnel to promote a positive climate, and providing crisis intervention and conflict resolution are key aspects of the role.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Full or Temporary Approval as a School Social Worker in Michigan
- Strong knowledge of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports), trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
