Key Qualifications:
- Active certification or license in Social Work appropriate for schools
- Previous experience as a School Social Worker, or closely related position within a school setting
- Strong understanding of the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to manage sensitive situations confidentially and professionally
- Experience in developing and implementing intervention plans a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and support to students individually and in group settings
- Assess student needs and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student well-being
- Develop and facilitate intervention strategies to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Consult and partner with school staff to create a supportive learning atmosphere
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and document services provided as required
