Job Description

A contract position is available for a skilled social worker specializing in K-12 education settings. This role offers the flexibility to operate either onsite or virtually, providing support to students two days a week. The position is set to run from August 12, 2025, to June 5, 2026, in Nevada City, CA.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in social work (MSW)
  • Valid state licensure as a social worker
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement intervention plans
  • Crisis intervention and management skills
  • Familiarity with family engagement strategies

Location:

  • Nevada City, CA (onsite and virtual options available)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and support for students social and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Respond effectively to crises and safety concerns within the school environment
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student well-being
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and families on social-emotional learning
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
