Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional to serve as a School Social Worker in a vibrant educational environment. This position focuses on supporting students across two elementary schools, addressing their diverse needs and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Location: Naperville, IL
Contract Duration: 2025-2026 school year
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:40 PM, 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students in General Education, Multi-Needs, or Structured Teaching and Learning (STLR) programming.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrative staff to enhance student well-being and academic success.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' social and emotional challenges.
  • Deliver group and individual counseling sessions, promoting social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions in compliance with school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Educator License with School Social Worker Endorsement.
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings, particularly with elementary students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of various social-emotional learning frameworks and best practices.
