Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Social Work license/certification suitable for school settings
• Previous experience as a School Social Worker or related role
• Understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as principles of trauma-informed care
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide both individual and group support
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with students, families, and school personnel
• Familiarity with educational and community resources to connect families with necessary support services

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social and emotional support to students individually and in groups
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address behavioral, academic, and attendance concerns
• Conduct thorough assessments, including risk evaluations and safety planning
• Develop and implement intervention strategies that reflect best practices for student well-being
• Act as a resource for crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and family outreach
• Facilitate connections between students, families, and community organizations to provide wraparound support
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and contribute to IEP/504 planning as needed
