In this contract position near La Mesa, youll collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to provide compassionate support and guidance to students of all ages and backgrounds.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
- Current, valid licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, or similar credential
- Previous experience working in K-12 schools or with children and adolescents
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills
- Culturally responsive approach to supporting diverse student populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement student support plans
- Conduct assessments and create intervention strategies to address students mental health and wellness needs
- Offer crisis support and mediation as necessary
- Deliver workshops, classroom presentations, or trainings on social-emotional topics
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice
