Job Description

This full-time Social Worker position offers the opportunity to provide vital support services to K-12 students, primarily in elementary and middle school settings. Located onsite in Golden, CO, this contract role runs for the upcoming school year from September through June, providing a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

The Social Worker will collaborate closely with Special Education (SPED) teams and assist with 504 plan development and meetings. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations and assessments, helping to identify and address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with students, families, and school staff to ensure comprehensive support aligned with educational goals and compliance requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Social Worker license for Colorado
  • CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Certification
  • Experience working with K-12 student populations
  • Familiarity with SPED processes and 504 plans
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support students social and emotional wellbeing across multiple grade levels
  • Partner with educators and SPED teams to implement and monitor 504 plans
  • Participate in evaluations and assessments to guide intervention strategies
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to ensure compliance and effective communication
