Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university
- Fully licensed Social Worker or MSW Limited License
- Hold at least one: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP)
- Must also hold a LARA license
- Comfortable working onsite; official university transcripts required
Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and address social, emotional, and behavioral needs of special education students
- Create and implement effective intervention and behavior management plans
- Provide individual and group counseling services to eligible students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and community organizations
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and conferences
- Support family engagement and conduct home visits where needed
- Report child abuse/neglect and carry out crisis intervention when necessary
