Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with school social work endorsement
  • Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary or middle school students
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of Special Education laws and policies
  • Capacity to manage a caseload of 25-30 students

Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a variety of emotional and social issues
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and coordinate care
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and provide support during challenging situations
  • Promote positive behavior and strategies for conflict resolution among students
