Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work (School Social Work specialization preferred)
- Valid state licensure or certification as required for school-based social work
- Experience working with students in a K-12 educational setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Familiarity with IEP/504 processes and relevant educational laws and documentation
- Compassionate, resourceful, and able to adapt to diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and social-emotional support to students individually or in groups
- Develop and implement intervention plans for students facing academic, behavioral, or social challenges
- Partner with teachers and school administrators to identify students in need of assistance
- Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community agencies to coordinate resources
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings and maintain accurate records and documentation
- Promote a safe, supportive educational environment for all students
