Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work (School Social Work specialization preferred)
  • Valid state licensure or certification as required for school-based social work
  • Experience working with students in a K-12 educational setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Familiarity with IEP/504 processes and relevant educational laws and documentation
  • Compassionate, resourceful, and able to adapt to diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling and social-emotional support to students individually or in groups
  • Develop and implement intervention plans for students facing academic, behavioral, or social challenges
  • Partner with teachers and school administrators to identify students in need of assistance
  • Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community agencies to coordinate resources
  • Participate in IEP/504 meetings and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Promote a safe, supportive educational environment for all students
