Job Description

A contract position is available for a dedicated School Social Worker in Corvallis, OR. This role focuses on providing essential support to students with significant behavioral and mental health needs, ensuring their well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with parents and educators to share vital information regarding students' mental health and individual needs.
  • Conduct threat assessments and manage suicide risk assessments, taking primary responsibility for ensuring student safety.
  • Meet with students proactively as well as following crisis situations to provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address behavioral issues and promote positive mental health within the school environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon State School Social Worker (SSW) license is required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with behavioral and mental health challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse populations.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and develop tailored support plans for students.
