This position offers the opportunity to provide crucial support as a Licensed Social Worker within a K-12 school environment located in Cicero, IL. This contract-to-hire role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, working one day per week at a single school site. The district utilizes IL SSW Certification as a credential requirement, ensuring that candidates meet professional standards necessary to support student needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive social work services to K-12 students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to create individualized support plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute indirectly to administrative and compliance tasks.
  • Utilize district resources and frameworks to document and track student progress within the established IEP system, with provided training.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) Certification.
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings, preferably in an itinerant or consultative role.
