Job Description
This position seeks a certified Social Worker to provide services within a K-12 public school setting in Chicago, IL. The role is contracted as a school year assignment with potential for conversion to permanent hire. Candidates should possess Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) certification and Professional Educator License (PEL).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based social work services to support students academic, social, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff within the assigned school
- Manage caseload and document services in the districts IEP system (training provided)
- Participate in team meetings and maintain regular communication with district personnel
Qualifications:
- Illinois School Social Worker certification required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience working within K-12 school environments preferred
- Ability to work one day per week on-site
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Assignment Details:
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Schedule: One day per week during school year
- Contract Type: Contract-to-Hire
- Assignment Dates: Immediate start, ending at the close of the school year
- Number of Openings: 1
- Interview format: To be conducted after break via Zoom or onsite as determined
