Job Description
A full-time School Social Worker position is available to support K-12 students during an FMLA leave coverage, from ASAP through the end of February. This onsite role is based in Chicago, IL, and involves providing comprehensive social work services within a school setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and providing individual and group counseling for students grades K-12
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and community resources to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Developing intervention plans and supporting students to improve academic and social outcomes
- Monitoring caseload and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with school policies
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) License
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
This contract opportunity offers competitive weekly pay along with health, dental, and vision insurance. In addition, participants are eligible for a 401(k) retirement plan. The position requires onsite presence to ensure direct support and continuity of care for students.
