Job Description

An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to provide essential social work services within a K-12 school environment. This full-time, onsite role is based in Chicago Heights, IL, and is designed for individuals passionate about enhancing the well-being and academic success of students through targeted social interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs through interviews, assessments, and observations to develop tailored support plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrative staff to implement strategies that promote student well-being.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff and parents on social-emotional learning and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions in compliance with school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker (SSW) License.
  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher.
  • Previous experience working in a school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school community.
