This travel opportunity is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support elementary students during the 26/27 school year. Located in Oregon, Illinois, this position offers a meaningful chance to impact the social and emotional well-being of 30 to 40 students in a school setting, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive social work services tailored to the needs of elementary students.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to develop and implement interventions.
- Conduct assessments, maintain case documentation, and monitor student progress.
- Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and promote positive school engagement.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid School Social Worker credentials or licensure.
- Experience working within a school system, preferably with elementary-aged students.
- Strong understanding of child development and social-emotional issues in school settings.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience traveling for assignments is preferred and essential for this role.
