Take on a fulfilling contract role providing vital social work services to young learners across Kindergarten through 5th grade, supporting a manageable caseload of about 50 students. Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid licensure or eligibility for school social work credentials in Minnesota
- Previous experience working with children in educational settings, preferably elementary level
- Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and mental health concerns
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students in need of social, emotional, or behavioral support
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to students unique needs
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to create safe, inclusive learning environments
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Connect families to critical community resources and support services
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of school-wide mental health initiatives and professional development
