Located in Benton Harbor, MI, this full-time, district-wide position offers an opportunity to provide essential social-emotional and behavioral support services within a K-12 school setting. The role is contracted for the current school year (CSY) on an onsite, W-2 basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students individually and in small groups, focusing on social-emotional and behavioral support.
• Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental factors affecting student learning.
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans collaboratively with staff and families.
• Support students with IEPs by providing services aligned with their goals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to eligibility and service recommendations.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and other support staff to foster a positive school climate.
• Provide crisis intervention, restorative practices, and conflict resolution support.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Full or Temporary Approval as a School Social Worker in Michigan.
• Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful clearance of background check and drug screening.
