Job Description

An opportunity exists for a dedicated School Social Worker to provide essential support to students across two elementary schools in Aurora, IL, for the 2025-2026 academic year. This role is designed for a professional ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students by addressing their social, emotional, and educational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and evaluate students in various educational settings, including General Education and specialized programs such as Multi-Needs and Structured Teaching and Learning (STLR).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Conduct assessments and provide documentation as required by school policies.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff on social-emotional learning and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License with School Social Worker Endorsement.
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings, particularly with elementary students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures related to social work.
